Building our school archive: seeking books written by, or about OEs Most of you, by now, will know that the new library opened in April 2007, with a new mezzanine floor, which will be entirely dedicated to the School Archives. One, of several projects, I'm working on involves collecting books written by, and about OEs for permanent display in the new archive centre. And I hope some of you out there will be able to help me add to the list of works I hope to collect and develop. Many of you will know that Headmaster Jack Grundy published texts on learning German, or that the famous anarchist Vernon Richards had many publications to his name. The late Master Jack Cuddon was very well respected in literary circles for his Dictionary of Literary Terms, and let's not forget the output of Tim Berners-Lee, or the award winning historian Tony Judt who has been in the running for big international prizes for his latest work 'Europe since 1945'. On the political front David Marquand has continued to publish and Emanuel boasts one of the world experts on the Turin Shroud in Ian Wilson. Indeed, recently retired head of science John Naylor, a leading expert on rainbows has another new book coming out soon. I could go on and on....... The broad spectrum of the Emanuel history has a rich and diverse range of books worth collecting here, and I know these are only the tip of the iceberg! Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated, Nothing is too obvious; drop me a line if you have a name, in any field, you think I would be interested in pursuing.
