Professor Tony Judt (OE 59 - 66) publishes new book

"Reappraisals: Reflections on the Forgotten 20th Century" (ISDN 0434017418) is the new book published by leading Historian Professor Tony Judt - who works for New York University.

His previous book was runner for the Pulitizer Prize, category for non-fiction.

This latest work is a collection of essays published in various journals over the last 20, or so, years.

Judt, often controversially, looks at the end of Communism, tackles subjects such as Blair's Britain, the Fall of France in 1940, the Cuba crisis, and the Foreign Policy repercussions of the Bush administration.

The Guardian calls the book "an indispensible tract for the times by one of the great political writers of this age".

The school would like to wish Professor Judt the very best of luck with his new book.
